MIKE’S TRASH SERVICES
Mike’s Trash provides a variety of affordable trash removal and dumpster services to Rochester and the surrounding counties. From residential to commercial, and even our Seasonal Lake Residents, our friendly and reliable staff can help find the right fit for you.
Weekly Residential Pick-Up Service
$30 per month ($90 per quarter)
A tote works well for residential families or small businesses.
1. 96-Gallon Mike’s Toter included
2. Capacity: 6-8 bags, 13-gal trash bags (kitchen size)
3. Picked up once a week
4. Need 2 toters? Add a 2nd Mike’s Toter to double the amount picked up every week for an additional $15 per month.
Once a Month Service
$22 per month ($66 per quarter)
Once a Month Service works great for households who do not generate a lot of weekly trash and only want to have to sit trash out once a month

3. Picked up once per month of the first pick up day of the month
Mike’s Trash offers dumpsters for permanent placement for residential and business trash removal as well as dumpster rentals for clean out or remodel projects.
Clean Out Dumpsters/Roll-Off’s
Mike’s Trash offers 2 different sized dumpsters for your clean out/remodel projects. A 3-yard dumpster (approx. size is 4ft tall x 6ft wide x 7ft long with a slanted base) is great for small clean outs. For bigger projects, we offer a 15-yard roll-off dumpster (approx. size is 4ft tall x 7ft wide x 16ft long). The 15yd dumpster has a door that swings open on one end to make carrying items into the dumpster easier then throwing items over the side. Please contact the office for pricing and to schedule a clean out dumpster.
Permanent Placement Dumpsters
Mike’s Trash offers 2-yard, 3-yard, and 6-yard rear-load dumpsters for long-term Permanent Placement. We can dump locations with-in the Rochester City limits up to 5x per week. For locations outside Rochester City limits, please contact the office to determine dump schedule. To check dumpster availability and get pricing for all sizes of dumpsters, please contact the office. No construction debris are allowed in permanent placement dumpsters.
NO contracts and NO hidden fees! What we quote you is what you will see on your bill!
We bill quarterly (3 months at a time).
Statements will be mailed/emailed out the month prior to the new quarter starting
Payments can be made quarterly (due by the 1st of every quarter) or broken down into monthly payments (due by the 1st of each month).
Accounts over twenty (20) days past due are subject to suspension of service.
Any account that is suspended for non-payment will be charged a $10 reinstatement fee to restart service. This fee must be paid prior to service being restarted.
For Snowbirds who leave for a season, to receive account credit, customers MUST notify our office in advance to suspend their trash service.
We do not offer refunds under any conditions.
A service charge of $20.00 for all returned checks and ACH direct draft payments.
A service charge of $100 will be added for any Mike’s Toter that is not returned when services is ended/terminated.
The office is open Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Cash, Check, Money Order, ACH Direct Drafts, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express (*A 3.99% fee applies to all credit and debit payments).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is there a trash bag limit?
Mike’s Trash pick-up limit is based off of the service you choose when you signed up for service. Below are the limits for each service option:
Mike’s Toter = Six to Eight 13-gallon kitchen bags that all fit inside the Mike’s Toter picked up every week
Once A Month Service = Six to Eight 13-gallon kitchen bags that all fit inside the Mike’s Toter picked up once a month
What time should I put out the trash?
ALL Trash must be placed out the night before your pick-up day or by 7:00 a.m. the day of. If trash is not out, it will NOT be picked up until your next scheduled pick-up day.
What about loose trash?
ALL trash must be bagged, boxed, or bundled. NO loose trash, NO cans, or bags over 50 pounds. If a bag is too HEAVY for one person to lift, it will NOT be taken.
When will my trash be picked up?
The time of day for your trash pick-up will depend on a number of factors. Please have your trash out by 7:00 a.m. the day of to ensure your trash will be picked up.
What items do NOT go into the trash?
There are many items that the landfill will not accept, including the following: Microwaves, TV’s, Refrigerators, Liquid Paint, Hazardous Waste, Yard Waste, Batteries, Tires, and Propane Tanks. We also cannot haul Concrete, Bricks, Cast Iron, and Solid Steel as it damages the compactors in our trucks.
Make sure that all trash is in the Toter/Can. Garbage or waste left beside toters or cans will not be collected unless you have called the office a day before your pick-up to arrange for extra to be taken.

How do I dispose of a used mattress or old toilet? Can I schedule these to be picked up?
Large item pickups are available. Terms, fees, and conditions will apply. Please call our office for pricing. Plan to make arrangements at least one day in advance to ensure pick-up.
Do you offer one-time pick-ups?
Yes! We do offer irregular pick-ups. Price is based on the amount that needs to be picked up. Please call the office for pricing and to schedule a pick-up.
Can you dump a dumpster that I own?
Yes! Mike’s Trash can dump customer owned dumpsters on an as needed basis. Please contact the office for pricing and to schedule.
Who is responsible for the toter or dumpster? Mike’s Trash or me?
The customer is responsible for their toter or dumpster while in service from Mike’s Trash. (Do NOT use containers for burning.) Report any suspicious activity around dumpsters. If the Mike’s toter and/or dumpster is not returned when service is cancelled or terminated, the customer will be charged replacement cost for the Mike’s Toter and/or dumpster.
What happens if there is bad weather?
We try our best to pick up everyone one their scheduled route days. If there is a travel ban in effect, Mike’s Trash will not be able to service certain areas when unsafe or dangerous road conditions occur due to bad weather. When is the office open? Where is the office located?
The office is open Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Our office is located at 824 Main Street in Rochester, Indiana directly across from the Fulton County Courthouse. We do offer an after-hours drop slot on the office door for after-hours payments.
Do you offer email billing?
Yes! You can choose to sign up for e-billing and have your trash bill emailed directly to your inbox rather than receiving it by mail! Even better, you can access your bill online any time! Contact the office at 574-223-6429 or email email@example.com to get signed up!

Do you offer Autopay?
Yes! You can set up autopay via ACH direct draft payments or with a credit/debit card (a 3.99% fee is charged for all credit/debit card payments). Just call the office to get signed up!
Mike’s Trash observes the holidays listed below. Holidays not listed are NOT observed by Mike’s Trash.

Mike’s Trash office is closed for the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.
For all residential and commercial trash services, if the holiday falls on a weekday, services on and after the holiday will run one day behind for the remainder of the week. If the holiday falls on a weekend, there will be no delay to service.

Mike’s Trash is a local, family-owned business that has been serving the local community for over the past 30 years. In April of 2019, current owners Steve and Mandy Metzger purchased Mike’s Trash, and have been working hard to continue growing and better serving our customers.
